Nevadas Apprenticeship Project at TMCC Employers Interested in Starting a Registered Apprenticeship Program in Nevada If you are an EMPLOYER interested in starting a Registered Apprenticeship in Nevada, please send an email to NVapprenticeshipgov.nv.gov or call 702-486-8080 to learn more about the registration process. ![]() Examples of topics are employment and supportive services, youth services, substance abuse, mental health and domestic violence. This training covers the critical components to providing effective SOAR services, as well as addresses important Nevada-specific processes for submitting SOAR claims within the state. The plan was designed through a collaborative process engaging local governments; community providers; faith based organizations; local businesses and committed individuals who recognized a need to address the issues of homelessness. These planning sessions resulted in Southern Nevada developing a plan that focuses on ending the problem of homelessness, rather than managing it. ![]() Physical requirements include adequate vision and hearing; the ability to bend and stoop; climb vertical ladders up to five feet in height; lift loads up to fifty pounds; pullpush levers with resistance up to five pounds; and the ability to sit and stand for long periods of time. Travel to remote job and training sites, at various hours during the day andor night, is required of all apprentices. Southern Nevada Apprenticeship Programs License Prior ToIt is required that an applicant possess a valid Nevada Drivers License prior to being accepted into the program. The entrance examination is designed to test basic verbal, math, and mechanical abilities that are essential for succeeding in the Apprenticeship Program. Prior to acceptance into the program, applicants must pass a Substance Abuse Test. This test will be provided by the Operating Engineers Training Trust. ![]() These agreements provide good wages, safe working conditions, and excellent benefits. There are different wage scales for different types and levels of work. Wage increases are received upon successful completion of on-the-job training and related classroom instruction.
